Scholarships



Scholarship opportunities are available for students from AMPI member farms.

Up to three $1,000 scholarships available from the Upper Midwest Dairy Industry Association
Eligible individuals are those pursuing a degree in Animal Science with dairy production emphasis, Dairy Science, Large Animal Veterinary Medicine, Dairy Manufacturing, Dairy Technology or Dairy Food Science.
Deadline: January 31, 2019
 

American Dairy Products Institute Jim Page Scholarship
As members of ADPI, dependents of AMPI members and employees are eligible to apply for at least one $1,000 Jim Page Memorial Scholarship.
This scholarship is available to dependents of AMPI members and employees who are currently enrolled in a four-year, nationally accredited college; pursuing a course of study that will lead to a bachelor's degree; have completed at least one full semester and must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a standard 4.0 scale.
Deadline: February 15, 2019
 

Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association
Each year, five scholarships worth $3,000 each are awarded to students connected to the industry. WCMA encourages those studying at technical colleges and at four-year colleges and universities to apply.
Applications must be returned to WCMA by Wednesday, February 20, 2019. Questions regarding scholarship opportunities may be directed to WCMA Office & Member Service Coordinator Sara Schmidt.

To help ensure a strong future for agriculture, Compeer Financial will announce a robust scholarship program for students in 2019. Plan on checking in January for more details.

Wisconsin Dairy Products Assn. (WDPA)
WDPA is proud to once again offer the Robert L. Bradley Scholarship, and the Wisconsin Dairy Products Association Scholarship, worth $2,000 each. These two scholarships are awarded each year to two deserving college students pursuing careers in the dairy industry and attending a University of Wisconsin system school, i.e. UW-Madison, UW-Platteville, UW-River Falls, etc.

Six $500 Scholarships from The Insurance Center Scholarship
The Insurance Advisory Council of The Insurance Center and Security Health Plan is pleased to announce six (6) $500 scholarships to be awarded. The scholarships are available to high school graduates continuing their education in an agricultural-related field while attending a post-secondary college, university or technical school program.
Deadline: March 31, 2019
 

Nebraska Cooperative Council Education Foundation
Four $1,750 scholarships to students at the UNL College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources (CASNR). One scholarship will be awarded to an incoming student and the balance to upperclass students. One $1,000 scholarship to a student at the Ne­braska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) at Curtis. Iowa Institute for Cooperatives - opens in May 2019
The Iowa Institute for Cooperatives will be awarding eight $2,000 scholarships. Scholarships are to be awarded to students attending a two year community college or four year university full time and who have had work experience or an internship with an IIC member cooperative. 
 

$750 National DHIA scholarships available - Closed for 2019
To be eligible for a National DHIA scholarship, the applicant must be a family member of a DHI employee, or an employee of a DHI affiliate. The DHI affiliate for the herd or affiliate employee must be a member of National DHIA.
 

$1,500 National DHIA scholarship for Veterinarian Students available - Closed for 2019
To be eligible for a National DHIA scholarship, the applicant must be a family member of a DHI employee, or an employee of a DHI affiliate. The applicant must be enrolled in a college of veterinary medicine in the U.S. which is accredited by the AVMA Council of Education. They must also be in their third or fourth year of the program and much have declared a track or emphasis. The DHI affiliate for the herd or affiliate employee must be a member of National DHIA.
